11 February 2010 - NaNoWriMo and Me Published

My account of life during my first ever attempt at National Novel Writing Month has been published as the very first article on the revamped First Edition Magazine website.

It talks about all the highs and lows of NaNoWriMo, all the difficulties I had, when I lost motivation and how I got it back again. It ends with the joy of finishing my first ever novel and the inevitable 'what next?' feeling that followed.

25 November 2009 - I'm a NaNoWriMo 2009 Winner

25 days ago the NaNoWriMo challenge seemed like an impossible task; a huge mountain stood in front of me and I had no idea whether I would make it to the summit or not.

But I did. I completed one of the biggest challenges of my life so far. And I have no shame in admitting that I did a little victory dance!

19 October 2009 - Signed up to take part in NaNoWriMo 2009

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) which sees people all over the world participating in a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in just 30 days.

As the website says, it is an invitation to "write laughably awful yet lengthy prose together.'' Let's see what happens...
